Welcome to Mount Prospect

Tranquil small-town charm with modern touches.

You’ll discover urban-influenced rowhouses, charming townhomes, and luxury condominiums along the serene streets of Mount Prospect, as well as a downtown surrounded by colorful displays of flowers and landscaping. The downtown’s Village Green is a central gathering place for pedestrians, shoppers, and diners alike.

Mount Prospect's initial growth can be attributed to the establishment of its train station. Soon after the station was built, the Village of Mount Prospect was abuzz with businesses, shops, and restaurants. As the community expanded, so did its population.

In the early 1960s, the business community in Mount Prospect took a giant leap forward with the construction of Randhurst, the first indoor air-conditioned mall in the upper Midwest. It is now known as Randhurst Village — a vibrant, open-air mixed-use center boasting national and regional retailers, a state-of-the-art cinema, office space, a hotel, and a diverse array of dining options.

Today, Mount Prospect retains its small-town yet upscale charm with modern touches.
