Community Park is the signature park of the Lake Zurich and Hawthorn Woods area. Located at the corner of Old McHenry and Quentin roads, this 30-acre park is a gathering space for special events, baseball tournaments, summer concerts, and more. Rambling Hills Park is the first park site built in Hawthorn Woods with grant funds received from the Illinois Department of Conservation. This park features over nine acres of beautiful natural areas, trails, and a pond.
The Village of Lake Zurich is home to the sandy beach of Henry J. Paulus Park, a prime gathering spot for local residents featuring a picnic area, playgrounds, beach, athletic field, concert stage, and more. Fourth of July fireworks are held at the lakefront each year, as well as the annual Alpine Fest, held in mid-July. Rock the Block is an annual autumn downtown street festival.
Other annual community events include the Fall Family Fun Fest, featuring crafts, mini-train rides, giveaways, and a variety of activities for the whole family.
