Katie is a former Mortgage Loan Officer who took her passion for helping people achieve their real estate dreams and became a Realtor®. Katie was born and raised in Arlington Heights and Buffalo Grove, and after living in Chicago for 12 years, she and her husband are now raising their two daughters in Arlington Heights. Katie works throughout Chicagoland but specializes in the Northwest suburbs. As a longtime northwest suburban resident, Katie is well informed on the neighborhoods, local businesses, and school districts.
In addition to her 15-year career as a successful mortgage professional, Katie worked as a legal assistant to a Real Estate Attorney. Bringing her vast knowledge of the real estate and mortgage industry to every transaction, Katie offers her clients an experience not found with your average real estate agent. She goes out of her way to ensure that her clients understand what the real estate process entails and helps them make significant decisions, especially first-time home buyers and sellers.
In 2019 Katie joined the top producing team The Blackshaw Messel Group, a full-service real estate team with exceptional expertise and an unwavering client-first attitude. The dynamic group is a go-to resource in the Northwest Suburbs and entire Chicagoland area, helping buyers, sellers, relocators, flippers, investors, and developers reach their unique real estate goals.
Katie feels it is important to give back to the community and volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA of Lake County, working with children in the DCFS system.
Katie is thrilled to have joined Compass Real Estate on their mission to “help everyone find their place in the world."
